It's one of Arizona's most precious rivers. Hundreds of new wells may leave it running dry
This is a great article by the Arizona Republic on the San Pedro River and the many challenges to its existence it faces. I've published links to other similar, articles previously. It serves to highlight just how tenuous the San Pedro's existence really is and the effect over-development has on it. This piece has links to previous pieces published in the Arizona Republic on water issues in Cochise County. Personally I think it's laughable that anyone can think the Villages at Vignetto won't adversely affect the San Pedro. There was another article published recently about overpumping on Fort Huachuca that I have not been able to investigate fully. Photo was from the article.
